This is where you begin.

After helping hundreds of businesses, one truth became unavoidable:

The dream was never the problem.

The system behind it was.

Most businesses fail not because they lack talent or effort — but because progress becomes expensive, exhausting, and unsustainable long before momentum can take hold.

The solution isn’t harder work or better motivation.

It’s building the right structure — one that fuels steady progress, adapts to your needs, and grows with you.

Start with the diagnosis.

Nobody Said You Only Get One Prompt

The surprisingly human value of drafts, reviews and an editor with no ego to bruise

Beyond the First Prompt: The Iterative Lead Magnet
Beyond the First Prompt: The Iterative Lead Magnet

There's a strange standard we've apparently decided to hold AI to.

We give it a prompt. It gives us an answer. And then we stare at the answer as though that's the end of the transaction.

Well? Is it good or isn't it?

I'm not sure why. We never expected writing to work that way before.

Writers draft. Editors edit. Designers iterate. Movies have rough cuts. Software gets tested. Advertising concepts get reviewed, rejected, resurrected and occasionally discovered three weeks later to have been better before everybody started “improving” them.

Then AI showed up, produced something in fifteen seconds, and somehow we decided it should nail the landing on attempt number one. And if it doesn't, apparently we need a better prompt.

I've been thinking about this because I've been using AI lately to help edit some writing I originally did years ago, and I'm still a little stunned by how much better some of it has become.

Not because I finally discovered the magical prompt.

We kept messing with it.

The First Answer Is Just Something to Work With

There's no question that AI has done something remarkable to the blank page. Give it enough context and you can go from absolutely nothing to a surprisingly competent first draft before you've had time to reconsider whether you wanted to write the thing in the first place.

That's useful, but I'm starting to think we're leaving an enormous amount of AI's value on the table when we treat that first generation as the product.

The first answer is allowed to start the conversation instead of ending it.

Sometimes the first version is excellent. Use it. Sometimes it's almost right except for one paragraph, so fix the paragraph. Sometimes it has the right idea and completely the wrong voice. Tell it why.

And sometimes the AI changes something I deliberately wrote a particular way. That's when I'll explain why the original matters, and something interesting happens: it can reconsider the recommendation with that new information.

Maybe it agrees. Maybe it finds another way to solve the problem without losing what I cared about. Sometimes it convinces me that the sentence I was defending really isn't as good as I thought it was.

The value isn't merely that AI can generate another version. It's that we can keep thinking about the work.

An Editor Whose Feelings I Don't Have to Protect

AI makes for a remarkably ego-free editorial room.

Well, half of one anyway. My ego still shows up for work.

I can still become attached to a sentence because I wrote it. I can resist a suggestion because it changes something I liked. I can confuse this isn't what I wrote with this isn't as good.

The difference is that I only have one ego to manage.

A human editor can suggest a change and become attached to it too. They may notice something else but decide they've pushed hard enough already. I may dislike a suggestion but soften my response because another human being spent time developing it.

None of this makes either person unprofessional. It makes them human, and those little social negotiations are always somewhere in the room.

AI doesn't particularly care.

It can give me ten alternatives and I can tell it none of them work. Maybe number four is getting warmer, but it misunderstood why the original line mattered.

No awkward silence follows. I don't have to spend five minutes finding a diplomatic way to explain that its brilliant rewrite is worse than what we started with. It doesn't spend the afternoon wondering whether I respect its creative contributions.

More importantly, because the AI doesn't need its suggestion to win, I can spend more attention on the uncomfortable question on my side of the conversation:

Am I protecting the work, or am I protecting something because I wrote it?

We can just keep working. Nobody needs credit for the correction or vindication because their version survived.

The work gets to win.

Sometimes I Need a Sparring Partner

That's also changed the way I think about what I'm asking AI to do.

Sometimes I don't particularly need another writer. I need something to push against.

I can ask it why a paragraph doesn't work, challenge its assumptions, make it defend a criticism and then tell it why I think it's wrong. With that new information, it can reconsider the whole argument.

Sometimes the criticism survives. Sometimes my original survives. Sometimes neither does, because the disagreement exposes a third possibility that wasn't visible until we started arguing about the first two.

Nobody has to win the argument. We're using the argument to find out whether the work survives it.

That's a surprisingly useful kind of sparring partner to have sitting around.

Then I Started Letting Another AI Attack It

This has become one of my favorite parts of the process.

After we've worked something into pretty good shape, I'll sometimes hand the copy to another AI and ask it to review what we've done—not rewrite it, but look for weaknesses. Awkward rhythm. Repetition. Places where the tone changes. Things we've over-explained. Things that may be clear to us because we've been staring at the project for hours but aren't actually clear on the page.

Then I bring the review back.

We review the review.

That's where things get surprisingly interesting.

The second AI isn't necessarily smarter than the first one. That's not really the point. In fact, sometimes its greatest disadvantage is also its greatest advantage:

It wasn't in the room.

It doesn't necessarily know why we made a particular decision. It hasn't lived through all the earlier iterations or shared every assumption we've accumulated along the way.

So it can notice things we've stopped noticing.

It can also recommend “fixing” something that was deliberate.

That happened while I was working on some business-training material recently. We'd written a short line:

The Business Brain belongs behind the writing, not in front of the reader.

An outside AI reviewer thought the writing could use more breathing room and suggested expanding the thought into something closer to:

Think of the Business Brain as the foundation—it belongs firmly behind the writing, supporting the structure, rather than in front of the reader taking all the credit.

There was nothing grammatically wrong with that. It was perfectly reasonable editorial advice.

I liked the original considerably more.

But the useful response wasn't to dismiss the reviewer and move on. It had pointed toward a legitimate question. We'd been deliberately trying to eliminate the habit AI sometimes has of breaking everything into dramatic little declarations, so we looked at the sentence again.

Was it another unnecessary punchline, or had this particular thought actually earned the emphasis?

We decided it had.

The criticism was useful. The proposed solution wasn't.

That's an important difference.

When “Make It More Human” Starts Sounding Like AI

That same review process has exposed another little irony I've become fascinated by.

I've had AI reviewers recommend making something sound more human and then propose language that sounds more like AI than what we started with.

There's a peculiar little uncanny valley developing around “human” AI writing. Ask an AI to make something warmer and it will sometimes reach for the linguistic equivalent of putting a hand on your shoulder:

You've already done the hard work. Now let's take the next step together.

Nobody was upset. Nobody needed a hand on their shoulder.

We were trying to edit a paragraph. 😄

The advice isn't wrong because warmth is bad. Sometimes reassurance is exactly what the moment calls for. The problem is when the writing invents an emotional moment that isn't actually happening because that's what “human” writing is supposed to look like.

We've become pretty good at spotting robotic language. I think we're going to have to get equally good at spotting manufactured humanity.

Sometimes trying too hard to hide the machinery is exactly what makes the machinery visible.

Reviewers Aren't Authorities

One of the more useful habits I've developed while working with AI is separating the value of a criticism from the authority of the critic.

If another AI says a paragraph should be rewritten, I don't have to rewrite it. I can ask why. I can bring the criticism back to the AI that has much more context and ask whether it agrees. I can disagree with both of them, or try the revision and discover that I hate it before putting the original back.

Nobody has to win.

The goal of review isn't to obey the reviewer. It's to give your judgment better evidence.

That also changes what “iteration” means.

Iteration isn't continuing to change things until we're tired of changing them. Every revision doesn't automatically make the work better; anyone who has ever watched a committee edit a perfectly good sentence knows that.

Sometimes the correct editorial decision is to leave the thing alone.

The question is whether the change earned its place.

Five Passes Still Take Longer Than One

Of course five passes take longer than one. I'm not suggesting we spend forty-five minutes polishing every sentence that was perfectly serviceable at minute twelve.

Iteration isn't the goal. Better work is.

The strange thing is that AI has made serious iteration cheap enough that this is suddenly worth talking about. What once might have required several people, exchanged drafts, scheduled conversations and days of elapsed time can now happen astonishingly quickly.

A draft can be written, challenged, revised, handed to another set of eyes, brought back, argued over and refined while the original problem is still fresh in your head.

That doesn't mean every grocery-list email needs an editorial board. It means the work that actually matters can receive a level of attention that used to be much harder to justify.

That's a much more interesting value proposition to me than simply saying AI writes fast.

Maybe Prompting Isn't the Hard Part

There's an enormous amount of attention right now on learning how to prompt AI. That's reasonable. Better instructions usually produce better results.

But I wonder if we're placing too much emphasis on getting the perfect result from the perfect prompt, because there's another skill hiding immediately behind it:

Knowing how to keep working an imperfect answer.

Ask for the draft and read it. React to it. Tell the AI what worked and what didn't. Ask why it made a particular choice. Challenge the answer, try another version, keep the part that got better and put back the part that didn't.

Give the result to another set of eyes. Bring those notes back and challenge those too.

Eventually, you may find yourself somewhere considerably better than anything you could have described in the original prompt. That's certainly been my experience.

Something else happens along the way, too.

The more I have to explain why I prefer one version over another, the more clearly I have to understand my own judgment. I start asking why one sentence works while another sounds fake, why a supposedly “humanized” rewrite suddenly sounds less human, or why I'm fighting so hard to save a particular paragraph.

Am I defending it because it's good, or because I wrote it?

AI can generate alternatives all day, and that's part of what makes it so useful. I can consider another headline, another paragraph or another approach without worrying about how much time somebody spent producing the alternative. Most of those alternatives don't need to survive. They're there to give me something else to consider.

But having more choices creates another job.

I still have to know which one deserves to survive.

That's not replacing the writer. That's giving the writer one hell of a practice partner.

The Blank Page Was Only One Problem

AI has become remarkably good at answering the old question: What are you going to write?

That's worth celebrating. But once the words appear, another question replaces it:

What do you think?

Is it accurate? Is it useful? Does it sound like us? Would I actually say that? Did we make it better, or merely different? Is this finished?

Those questions aren't an unfortunate remainder of the work AI hasn't figured out how to eliminate yet. I'm starting to think they may be some of the most valuable parts of the work.

Producing words and understanding why those words deserve to survive are not quite the same skill. AI has made the first one astonishingly cheap.

It may be making the second one more important.

And maybe one of AI's greatest contributions to writing won't be its ability to produce a finished piece in fifteen seconds. Maybe it will be making the kind of iterative editorial attention that used to be expensive, slow or simply unavailable accessible whenever we need it.

Draft it, read it and argue with it. Ask why. Try something else. Let another set of eyes attack it, bring the notes back and keep what survives. Throw away what doesn't.

Somewhere along the way, stop worrying quite so much about which intelligence deserves credit for the sentence.

Keep the sentence that works.

Writers have been told for years that they need to learn how to kill their darlings. AI doesn't have any.

I've found that's pretty useful in an editor.

So give it something you actually care about sometime. Don't just ask it to rewrite the thing. Ask it to challenge you. Argue back. Let another AI review what you both came up with. Bring the review back and argue about that too.

You don't have to accept any of it.

Just see what survives.

Daniel Krynzel

Owner of the Interview Method

Offering some of the most powerful Sales Technique training available anywhere

(Paraphrased from the above video)

"Magnetix is the most amazing marketing company I've ever been able to work with.  They've been an incredible resource for me to build and grow my business.  I needed help scaling online, help running ads, help with messaging, help with EVERYTHING!

As a result of our work with Magnetix Marketing, our brand, Lifestyle Listings, helping realtors all over the country, EXPLODED!

Honestly, it's very difficult to find a marketing company and resources to help entrepreneurs, influencers, coaches like us, that's good and does what they say they're going to do.

Magnetix was upfront with me and let me know what we needed to do.  We setup lead flows and processes to where once the lead flow came in, we had an unbelievable follow-up system with texts and emails and retargeting ads so that when you came into the web of Lifestyle Listings and the Interview Method, you would be contacted by us and our automation until you bought (and beyond].

I wouldn't be able to be who I am today without Ryan and Magnetix Marketing.  I know they have limited bandwidth, so if you have the opportunity to work with them, JUMP ON THAT right away and do exactly what they say!"

Barbara Morris

Owner of Women Rising Like the Phoenix

Coaching for Women experiencing the Empty Nest

(Paraphrased from the above video)

"Hi, I'm Barbara Morris, the creator and founder of 'Women Rising like the Phoenix'. I couldn't have done all of the things that I have done in my marketing without Ryan (at Magnetix Marketing). His expertise, his knowledge, goes so far beyond anything I could have imagined. I could have been given the basics and had to flounder myself through all of the pieces but he knows all of the pieces that are needed to put together a fantastic marketing plan. And I encourage you to get with him if you are starting a business or struggling with your advertising because he will be able to help you more than you could ever have wished for. And I am so grateful for all that he has done for me."

Lisa Luciano

Owner of Online Safety & Success,

Teaching effective decision-making using techniques that empower children and adults to spot danger, avoid it and deal with it.

(Paraphrased selections from the above video)

"Magnetix Marketing cared about me and my company and getting me across the finish line or getting me to the starting line. I trusted him and I started working with him and I went from having no leads to 3500 leads because he built a sales funnel that worked, not just worked, but it worked for my company and for who I am.

We put out the ad campaign and it got results that to this day, people who've been in the business a long time cannot believe. And I've seen it happen to other clients for Magnetix Marketing as well. I was getting lead after lead after lead. I went from zero sales call bookings to 70 within a couple of months because of the ads that put people through my funnel.

Then of course, there's the issue of email campaigns. I didn't know how to do that properly. We built one based on emails they created and crafted. He has figured out what can go wrong or what do you need to do to make an email effective. Anybody can send out emails. Well his are so different that I had a client come to my Zoom session and the first thing she said to me was, "Lisa, those emails you sent me, I was afraid to come. I was not going to come to this call. But when I saw what was in those emails, I knew who you were. I started to trust you. And I loved the information you gave me. There was a video. I loved it that made all the difference to me."

That was because of Magnetix Marketing and the emails they created, the systems they know how to build."

~Lisa Luciano

Matt Friedland

Owner of 360 Music System,

Training guitar players to reach new degrees of professional mastery.

(Paraphrased selections from the above video)

"My name is Matt Friedland and I've been working with Magnetics Marketing for some time now. I'm a music school owner in Tempe, Arizona, and I have a music education platform launched online nationwide called 360 Music System. Our business has really started to get more out of our marketing, organized and more successful in getting new leads and getting clients enrolled in our programs.

A lot of that has to do with Magnetix Marketing's help in implementing our landing pages, our Facebook advertising and getting our calendars set up and all of our backend tech. I wouldn't have been able to do that myself. It's quite a vast thing to try and take that on, even consuming tutorials. Having an expert like Magnetics Marketing help you with that kind of thing will save you a lot of time and energy and effort.

So if you're a business owner, you're going to need marketing, you're going to need to advertise things. If you've tried it before and it hasn't been successful, I've totally been there. I've invested thousands with other marketers, didn't work and I wasn't educated and informed on what they were actually doing and how to set up any of this stuff.

So I had no idea why it wasn't working. But after working with Magnetix, they educated me on how things work, how to set up things properly, the strategies and we have been getting results. We're getting new clients booked, we're getting our ads in front, we're building our audience. And I just want to say that it's been great working with them.

It's been a real pleasure and I highly recommend working with them."

Kami Wanous

Owner of The Freedom Scholar,

Homeschool Educational Mentoring

(Paraphrased selections from the above video)

"Hi there. I'm Kami Wanous and I'm so excited to recommend to you Magnetix Marketing. I am currently building a new website and new platform in from Kajabi over to Go High Level and I never ever would have been able to do it without Magnetix Marketing! It is so complicated to figure out a new platform. It's such a big learning curve and it takes you away from what you really want to do - helping people, coaching them, the income that you want to make!

To have the freedom to hire somebody to be able to walk you through every step is what I love about Magnetix Marketing. Not only am I getting a platform built for me, but I'm doing it WITH them. I'm very hands on. I love to know how things work so that I can go back and make changes when I need to.

And that's what Magnetix Marketing does. It's walking me through every single step so that I understand the concepts, I understand what the names are (system elements) and why they mean different things, and then I can go back and do it myself. That empowers me to not only have a functioning business on the tech side and the the marketing side, but also it's allowing me to then teach my employees in the future.

And I'm so excited about that. There's so much information that I didn't know that Magnetix Marketing is teaching me all the time about marketing, about tech and how High Level works in conjunction with a lot of other things and how it moves. And it's just so beautiful. And I love being able to ask questions and it's, it's such a freeing experience to not have the pressure of trying to fit everything in a certain little timeslot and trying to have to, to get somebody call somebody and say, "Can you fix this for me?"

Because I know how to do it on my own now. I'm so excited. I think you should definitely, definitely give them a shot and trust them with all of your marketing needs."

"Hi. I'm Nina Lockwood. I'm a women's life coach. And this is what I want to share with you about Ryan and Magnetix Marketing. I think that Ryan is one of the best people that you could possibly work with. I spent over a year with him and he helped me get my in-person coaching work onto an online platform which involves all sorts of technical stuff that my mind does not easily adapt to.

So he was my godsend, really, and this is what I can tell you about him. He is incredibly knowledgeable. He's got such an awareness of all the details and all of that you could never imagine. And he is kind and generous and really wants his clients to succeed, and that's been my experience with him. I know I could never have gotten this far without him, so I am so grateful to him and his work and I highly recommend him is the best thing since sliced bread.

I would definitely check him out."

Where Attention Goes, Energy Flows!

Businesses of all sizes NEED to make sales.

NOTHING happens without getting your message out to the right customer who:

  • Wants or NEEDS what you offer

  • Will recognize HOW you can solve their challenges or deliver their desires

  • and will TRUST you're the best option

There's ONE UNIVERSAL solution to meeting all three of these checkpoints at once. Until you have it, you'll be fighting to generate momentum for your business:

Nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd!

You see it:

  • In a schoolyard when a fight breaks out.

  • At a local gathering, like a cookout, parade or county fair.

  • Establishments that depend on large turnouts, like Nightclubs, Theme parks, and Casinos.

  • Even at smaller events, like church functions, yard sales, or an open house.

  • On social media sites and internet search results, rating users and the value of what they have to say based on how many people have engaged with their content.

The larger the crowd, the more interested people get in taking part in whatever is generating all that interest. Human beings participate in hive-like behaviors. The existing attention validates your entire message and inspires that critical fear of missing out!

This is what Magnetix Marketing specializes in - rounding up a HUGE, ever-expanding crowd for your business that never appears to disperse - a highly visible audience across every online platform, proving your value to anyone at a glance. Without using bots or fictional accounts to do it.

We also use every cutting edge strategy to gather interested potential customers into your system, where you can nurture your leads into clients over time.

Keep their attention on YOU until they are ready to do business. Before long, you'll be a giant in your industry. And you'll have our process to thank for that.

Your Story Is Your Purpose

You are the protagonist in your own tale. Make it a good one!

We are all here to experience a unique story of our own. What kind of story will you leave in the records of time?

All of us have struggled and most of us will overcome those struggles.

The best of us will turn our struggles into our definition of purpose and use them to drive us to greatness.

The harder our struggles have been, the more powerful we are.

The Power Plant

What Drives Magnetix Marketing

You often hear people say,

"Do what you love for a living and you'll never work a day in your life."

I grew up loving games.

Video games, role-playing games, board games—anything that sparked imagination and inspired interaction. My parents often labelled it an unhealthy obsession. Looking back, perhaps it was. But games taught me something important: every system has rules, rewards, challenges, and ways to win.

What fascinated me most wasn't simply playing games.

It was understanding how they worked.

Creating them.

Improving them.

Designing new ones.

Ironically, while I loved creating rules, I never fit particularly well into many of the rules handed to me by schools, employers, and society. The world often felt rigged against ordinary people, rewarding just enough effort to keep us running on a hamster wheel while pursuing someone else's dream.

Like many aspiring entrepreneurs, I believed a great idea would be enough.

Create something amazing.

Bring it to market.

Make a difference.

Earn freedom.

Simple, right?

Of course, reality has a way of teaching difficult lessons.

Ideas alone aren't enough.

Neither is talent.

Neither is hard work.

Art, production, distribution, marketing, funding—all of these matter too.

I quickly discovered an uncomfortable truth:

Wealth often makes it easier to create more wealth.

And poverty often makes it easier to remain poor.

My family spent years living paycheck to paycheck, making difficult choices about bills, relying on credit when income fell short, and watching interest charges and fees create their own form of gravity.

Poverty begets poverty.

But as a game designer, I couldn't help looking at the situation differently.

I began to see finances, business, and freedom as a game too.

Not a game in the sense that it wasn't serious.

A game in the sense that it had rules.

Patterns.

Momentum.

And if momentum could work against you, perhaps it could also work for you.

As I explored different jobs, industries, and entrepreneurial pursuits, I noticed something that challenged many of my assumptions.

The businesses that seemed to create lasting success weren't simply taking more than they gave.

They were creating value.

The more people they genuinely helped, the more successful they became.

That realization changed everything for me.

A great game creates a memorable experience.

A great business solves meaningful problems.

Both succeed because they help people.

Once I understood that, marketing stopped feeling like manipulation and started feeling like communication.

It became a way to connect people with solutions that could genuinely improve their lives.

That path eventually led me to work with talented business coaches, powerful marketing technologies, and systems that were beginning to level the playing field for small and medium-sized businesses.

For the first time in history, everyday entrepreneurs could access tools once reserved for massive corporations.

The game was changing.

And that brings us to Magnetix.

Our mission is simple:

To help good people, good businesses, and good ideas attract the attention, systems, and momentum they need to thrive.

Because I've come to believe that success isn't about taking as much as you can.

It's about creating enough value that people are grateful you showed up.

And if we can help enough people do exactly that, everyone wins.

Let's talk about your next steps toward success.
